“How does one stay fresh in the bathroom?” It’s the question that started it all.
Dry toilet paper alone simply isn’t enough and bidets, though widely available internationally, are not so common in the United States. We created Freshends so that guests in luxury hotels all over the country would have a plush, convenient solution for cleanliness.
Since we launched Freshends four years ago, our individually-packaged towelettes have helped the hospitality industry discretely meet a specific need that many guests may be too afraid to request.
“Just because people are not asking for it, doesn’t mean they aren’t using it,” explains Freshends Cofounder Ann Rommel. “If a traveler forgets their toothbrush, they’ll request one from the front desk. If someone forgets their bathroom wipes, they are likely not comfortable enough to ask for them. But they shouldn’t have to ask– it is the responsibility of the hotel to anticipate the needs of their guests.”
Several top luxury hotels quickly saw the value and importance in meeting this need for guests, and as they began providing Freshends in guest bathrooms, spas, and at front desks, other hotels followed suit. Our eco-friendly wipes, made with natural ingredients such as Vitamin E and aloe, can now be found at many of the nation’s premier hotels, including Ritz-Carlton properties in several states.
We aim to further help the hospitality industry by tailoring Freshends to meet the unique branding and aesthetic designs of our clients, with customizations ranging from size, colors and logo on the packaging to the scent of the towelettes. Our goal is to be reliable and provide quality product to ensure that the hospitality industry can provide their guests with the hospitality they desire and deserve.
In the September issue of Hotel Business magazine, David Smiley, director of guest services at the Inn at Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina, a Montage resort, summed up why giving guests the luxury amenities they need is so important.
“For many hotel guests, their room is their home away from home,” he said. “Having Freshends in the bathroom has added a new level of comfort and guest satisfaction.”
